Gochang Moyangseongje

The Gochang Moyangseong Festival is a historical and cultural festival themed around the best-preserved Moyangseong Fortress in Korea. Its signature event is the Dapseong Nori, an experiential program based on the legend that circling the fortress once will cure leg ailments, circling it twice will ensure longevity, and circling it three times will lead to ascension to paradise. Other events include the Dapseong Nori and Ganggangsullae, a nighttime Dapseong Ganggangsullae Moonlight Festival where residents and tourists can come together; a street parade featuring over 1,000 residents, depicting the past, present, and future; Returns 1453, a journey back in time through the Gochang Eupseong Fortress; and a food stall featuring local specialties and a market selling local products.
