The Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, held in Geumsan, Chungnam, the home of ginseng with a history of over 1,500 years, is increasing tourist satisfaction through a variety of experiences, sights, and affordable shopping that can be enjoyed by all ages, such as ginseng harvesting, red ginseng pack massages, red ginseng foot baths, an international ginseng trade fair, and traditional ginseng culture experiences. Additionally, healthy foods made with ginseng and medicinal herbs can be tasted throughout the festival grounds. The Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, which has been held annually since 1981, has built a reputation as a truly representative industrial festival of Korea, boasting a history of being designated as the best festival in the nation 10 times by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and selected as the Asian Specialty Festival by the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) World in 2024, and is evolving into a global festival shared with people from around the world.
