Tongyeong Hansan Battle Festival

In order to commemorate the Battle of Hansan in Tongyeong, one of the three major battles of the Imjin War, and Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the national hero who saved the country, we aim to develop into a global festival enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. This will be achieved by introducing various programs such as Tongyeong’s traditional cultural content and exhibitions, performances, and experiences around the victory day, the 7th day of the 7th lunar month (August 14th in the solar calendar), which can be enjoyed by everyone, and by serving as a representative festival of Korea dedicated to national defense, historical reenactment, and historical figures.
