The Daegu Chicken & Beer Festival is Daegu's representative summer culture and tourism festival, and it has been selected as one of the "Korea Local 100" and a preliminary global festival for 2026. It is the nation's largest food and beverage festival combining "chicken" and "beer." Since its first 개최 in 2013, it has achieved continuous growth and attracted 1 million visitors, contributing significantly to the revitalization of the local economy as well as enhancing Daegu's global brand value. Going beyond a simple food and beverage festival, it provides visitors with a wealth of entertainment through various programs including performances, exhibitions, experiences, corporate promotions, and global exchanges. The 2026 Daegu Chicken & Beer Festival will be held from July 1 to 5 in the Duryu Park area. The main venue, 2.28 Freedom Plaza, will be decorated with a water concert theme combining water play and electronic music, and a new 360-degree central stage will be introduced. Additionally, various themed spaces such as ‘Daefrica Waterpia,’ ‘Chimaek Sing-Along Club,’ and ‘Chimaek Paradise EGG Island’ will be created, and sculptures and photo zones created in collaboration with artists will further enhance the festive atmosphere.
