*The festival content below is from the previous year (2025), and the 2026 festival content is being updated.*
The Hadong Wild Tea Culture Festival is a government-designated honorary cultural tourism festival held every May in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, the first tea cultivation area in Korea. Hadong wild tea, grown in a blessed natural environment, has been known for its excellent taste and aroma since ancient times. After the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo, the festival will celebrate its 28th anniversary in 2025, adding to its recognition as a ‘tea healing culture city’ and the brand value of the tea industry and culture. With spaces where music and art come together, such as "Busking in a Teacup" and "Moving Art Museum," and diverse healing programs like Tea Class and Book Talk, and walks along the Millennium Tea Fragrance Road, May brings a refreshing green glow to Hadong. A cup of tea will transform everyday life into something special, and you can fully experience the flavors and charm of Hadong. This year, in celebration of Children's Day on May 5th, there will be a variety of programs for the whole family to enjoy together.
