Details
*The following festival food details are from the previous year (2025), and the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.*
Celebrating its 28th anniversary this year, the 2026 Mungyeong Tea Bowl Festival is one of Korea's representative festivals, harmonizing the depth of tradition with modern sensibilities. It will be held spectacularly for ten days from May 1 to 10, 2026, at the Mungyeong Saejae Open Set, which preserves breathtaking natural scenery. Mungyeong pottery insists on using traditional wood-fired kilns (mangdaengi kilns) rather than artificial techniques, and is born in flames exceeding 1,300°C. Tea bowls, possessing a rustic yet natural charm, are overflowing with appeal that clears the mind of the user. In particular, this festival aims to evolve from a mere viewing event into a stay-type festival to be enjoyed together by significantly strengthening diverse participatory content targeting the 'MZ generation' and 'family visitors.'
